Origin: France

Everything started back in January 2000 when a bunch of good friends: Julien (vocals, also in Eradykate), Sylvain (guitar), Anne (bass) and Mael (Drums) decided to play music together. Disphoria was born. After releasing its first demo (self titled) that same year, the band began to unleash its fury live, playing as many shows as possible. Disphoria's second demo entitled "Art of depravity" was recorded the following year. Despite the fact that it still did not fulfill the band's expectations, Disphoria kept on working, playing shows all across France as it gained strong stage presence.

With the addition of Mika (Eradykate) as second guitarist, the new and improved Disphoria was now ready to invade Belgium, Holland and France during its first European tour in February 2004. These French heavy hitters are now planning another European tour in late October 2004 to promote their upcoming album. The group's debut on Galy Records "Sleep and fly away... you'll be tortured forever" will be released September 14th 2004 and showcases ground shaking breakdowns, rapid metal intensity and heart filled emotional anthems. Expect some of the best melodic metalcore you'll hear this year.
